The two names that stick out in the newspaper article this morning are Josh Vigers and Jeremy Cook. Vigers film is impressive and he is a big time players. Cook might not be eligible to begin with but sometimes you have to take a chance when you can get a very talented player.

With the two remaining scholarships to give it looks like maybe a juco and/or frosh. CB, a frosh. or juco DT, frosh TE, or frosh. punter. To me a juco CB looks to be the biggest need.

TE from Fountainbleau[Mandeville] plus half the seniors from that school will be walking on [invited] and that is a good thing

IYHO, what do you think will be his role in the next three years as a cajun?

What is Morel's story. Is he the combination of Desmo and hundley? I've heard he is pretty mobile, but does he have the better arm than Desmo? I don't think that we can afford, with respect to wins and fan perspective, to tool around a year with a brand new QB with no experience. I think our best chance is to run the hell out of it like we did the second half of 2005. With Desmo, Fenroy (and Wallace every few plays), and a nice strong fullback as the other back, we will be hard to stop. Especially since our o-line was young for the most part last season, and we'll be getting the other one (Chance?) who hurt his ankle right before fall practice. I just hope that if they try to balance things out like they did last year, if/when the recievers quit catching, they abandon that game and dance with the one who brought them.

I'm so excited for football baby. Its only just under 7 months away from kickoff (at South Carolina?). Thank goodness bseball sarts next week to take my mind off it. How about a countdown somebody?

My opinions are well known and none too popular in some quarters. We have one of the top 5 option QB's in the country, two outstanding running backs, a VERY good offensive line for our conference and speed to burn at WR. Our pass-run ratio should be 1-6, just as it was in the last 5 games of the 2005 season, and the one in 6 plays that is a pass should be a route of at least 12-15 yards. Desormeaux, though certainly not a great passer, is a better passer than he is given credit for being. We just have not been running a scheme which is suitable to his style.

Defensively, we need to be very aggressive with our front 7. Lots of stunts, blitzes, slants, etc. to keep the offense off balance and to disrupt. We cannot play "read and react" defense. We just don't have the athletes for it. [That is not a negative statement. NO University at our level has the athletes required to play read and react defense.]

I am very excited about this year's defensive recruits. Rodgers and Cook are studly DE's with SPEED, Douglas [listed as a TE], Brooks and Cox [listed as a DE] are all FAST, good looking LB prospects, Fleming and Vigers are loads at SS, Rogers was a JUCO All-American and Aurienne [sp?] was 1st team All State in Florida 5A at CB.

Offensively, our class is also impressive. The two receivers are both tall, fast and sure-handed. Both QBs are similar in style, size and speed to Desormeaux when he arrived here, the two OL are quite possibly the highest rated pair we have ever signed in one year, One of the RB's is a big, bruising runner with good hands; the other is said to 'play like Fenroy'.

Are you ready for some FOOTBALL?????
