Just when things looked the best for the UL Ragin' Cajuns in Thursday's Sun Belt Conference opener against Middle Tennessee, they quickly turned the opposite direction.

The Blue Raiders play a rough brand of basketball. The refs get tired of blowing the whistle, and Marlin predicted that. Reminded me of Floyd ball on defense except the can shoot it pretty well.

Clearly we lack a serious power forward or center. Longs replacement could not stay out of foul trouble five minutes. We have talent but very raw. Maybe by years end it will be good enough to win a couple of games in the tournament.

Nice crowd considering the Saints were getting bashed on National Television.

I think it's a jab at our bench more than anything else. The bench guards shot 0-6 last night.
