I'm sure NBA star and Olympian Kevin Love loves him some Beach Boys.

See, when I listen to some of that other "new" music, I feel the need to make sure that my fanny pack and shirt match my wifes ensemble..

    Bad Company... not so much.

The beach boys. This is a board for discussion isn't it? Just saying, who is more likely to get excited about the concert? 20-30 year olds or 65 year olds? Older people will be there regardless, new Orleans is a Mecca of musicians, just think they could have done better than the beach boys.
If their parents did their jobs, all youngsters know who the Beach Boys are.

This is not Bad company with Paul Rodgers playing that night. It is Bad Company with lead singer Brian Howe. There are no members of the original band, and it is Brian Howe singing. Not sure how he can get away with calling it Bad Company since Paul Rogers is currently touring with the band.

In the 90's mommy and daddy weren't always there to teach us the important life lessons. But it was okay because we still had Danny Tanner and his pals Uncle Joey and Uncle Jesse to help us along.

Don't get the lighter too close to the fur... as my grandmother used to say.

As for the Beach Boys and Bad Company...
    A) It's free and it isn't the main event of the weekend.
    B) The Beach Boys are just a little nostalgic clean fun... no one gets harmed by the Beach Boys.
    C) Bad Company... even a good karaoke version... kicks butt.
    D) It's kind of smart to target some entertainment around the age group in both the East Carolina and UL alumni base... that actually have money.
    E) Go look back at A).

Damn dude, it makes sense to me. But I guess they missed the boat for some when they didn't lineup Lady Gaga!
