I can definitely appreciate Givers' music and talent, but it is not my cup of tea. I wouldnt think most football fans/ people would dig it either. It is a little "soft" to put it nicely. Maybe if they had played during Mardi Gras or some other type of event instead of a football game, it would have been more appropriate. JMO.

Sorry dude, I ain't 60 years old and raised my 20 year old on Classic Rock. Head down to the quarter and you can catch blues, Jazz and others types of music. You can also hit the clubs and get all the .50 cent or top pop 40's music you want.

Yep, Paul Rogers toured with Queen for a while but he has been back with Bad Company.

First, beach boys aren't classic rock, a lot of people grow up with classic rock and the beach boys aren't. I said bad company will be cool just thought they could have done better than the beach boys. They are 72-75 years old debuting a new album, it won't be what everyone thinks. That's jmo , and I won't be there for that along with a lot of other people buts it's not a big deal like everyone is making it out to be. Coulda have done better than the beach boys, that's all

Did I mention the Beach Boys? I know the era very well since I grew up in it. I'm sure some of the older crowd will love to hear them, I'm okay with some of their major hits. Bad Company is the draw with Paul Rogers, but you can drink your way through the Beach Boys.

i agree, my original post was that bad company will be good and i thought the beach boys was a reach so i wasnt sure why you would be bringing it up unless you disagreed, maybe we just misunderstood each other

Boomer there will be an EMS ambulance on site. Clearly either some fans or members of the band are in extreme danger of heart failure. Where are the Hoveround going to be?

Loved the old guys back in the day, in fact only listen to the Elvis channel, 50's, 60's, country, and 70's on my SiriusXM radio.

Rickey Nelson produced an album titled "Garden Party". The title song of the album was about his experience at the Madison Square Garden concert. During that concert the people only wanted his old stuff and pretty much ignored his new stuff. He was totally bummed out about that.

For years, now I have wondered why people are so happy to see worn out old rock stars doing badly what they did thirty or more years ago. Says more about us than them.

I will be among the Cajun fans because Champion Square will be rocking regardless of the band.

I'm kind of surprised more people are excited about Bad Co than The Beach Boys. The Beach Boys were a legendary and respected band in their era. Bad Company was never really more than an average, run of the mill 70's classic rock band.

EDIT: To put it another way Bad Co was like the Nickleback of the 1970's.

I'm excited about the cajun's playing in the NO bowl. Really don't care who's playing the free concert. I don't even really care if Givers plays, that was more a reference to the big "debate" last year about them.......I"m sure they do what they do well.

    Damn, I can't wait till Dec 21st.......
