And wins 80+% of his games. Not many coaches can say that

Not many coaches have a state recruiting monopoly. Don't think talent has anything to do with his winning percentage?

Well, according to many here, talent is part of a coaches job to maintain within its program. Also, LSU is able to recruit on a national level and does not solely benefit from this monopoly.

State legislated recruiting monopoly. Don't be afraid to be completely accurate, Hawk.

Not solely benefit, but ask Saban if he would rather have a monopoly on Alabama or Louisiana recruiting? His ventures into this state the past few years would point to him picking Louisiana. Louisiana is a recruiting hotbed...it's not Texas, Florida, or California...but it's one of the top in the country...and LSU has the pick of the litter. They may recruit nationally...but the majority of their team is made up of in state prospects. With this monopoly Miles is able to mask his inability to coach or preform normal tasks as a human being. There is a reason Chavis is paid so much...because without him...LSU is a middle of the road team.

How many of their BCS titles were won with Chavis as DC? Les Miles is a goober, but he's a pretty good coach. Talent or not, you don't average 10 wins without a little coaching.

And LSU has the pick of the litter in Louisiana because of the success they're having. Go back to the Hallman days and check out how many guys were going out of state to play ball. If Miles leaves and LSU goes back to being a 6-6 team excited about yearly trips to Shreveport, watch how fast those 5- and 4-star athletes take their talents to Alabama/Florida/Texas/etc.

Would be funny as hell if Miles leaves and they hire Chizik next.

Ever heard of a man named...Bo Pellini? 2007...National Title...first two loss BCS Champ...mostly due to Miles inability to close out sub standard opponents. How about 2008? After Pellini left for Nebraska? 8-5...3-5 in SEC play...that was the infamous co-defensive coordinator year. Hmm...I wonder why they did so bad? Guess what happened in 2009? Chavis was hired.

What you fail to realize is that Saban built Miles recruiting base for him...Miles has just reaped the benefit. Miles is not and never will be a good coach...he is a good recruiter and quite possibly the luckiest man alive. He is the Donald Trump of college football coaching. A man who lucked into wealth and does nothing but make a fool out of himself and stay rich.

Miles could leave and LSU would be better off. As long as they kept Chavis and got someone competent to run the offense. You realize that LSU's offense is Miles's offense...that quarterback destroying...run due to necessity offense is all Miles's doing. Good coaches don't have offenses...that they are responsible for...ranked in the 100's.

But I don't ever want him to leave Baton Rouge...because they deserve him. Only a fan base like that deserves the Donald Trump of college football coaching.

There are plenty of teams with the talent level of LSU that don't win 10 games every year. Texas and USC leap to mind. The guy can coach and knows how to win.

Nebraska has a monopoly, LSU has pick of the litter.

Alumni childrens choice from 3 FBS and 6 FCS in-State football playing schools prevents LSU from having a true monopoly

Whatever. Conspiracy Theorists will have their reasons. I won't argue although its purely opinion.
