Well after paying out 2.1 mil they probably are not in the mood to have to buy out another contract to get the next guy. I would suspect that will weigh heavily on their decision.

The schools never pay the exit fees, the coaches do. Maybe a rich booster helps them exit but never the schools, or their athletic booster clubs.
