Because it is 6 or a half dozen to me. Neither is going to bring a huge crowd. Neither is going to be one of those oh my god wins. Though only thing that matters is that the Cajuns win.

Rice is better for the bad jokes and pun factory. I mean Cajuns and Rice will leave no shortage of material for the ESPN posters that will be made.

I wanted ECU until I read this. Now, I'm torn between the two.

Not that it matters much, but the Cajuns lost to Rice in 1921 (54-0) ... making them 3-2 all-time vs. Rice.

I remember the game in 1988 at Cajun Field. On the opening kickoff, some overconfident Owl on special teams quipped "Welcome to the Southwest Conference!" to a group of Cajun players. Ummm, yeah ... some serious intimidation.

I was at the 83 game against Rice in Houston. We got up the next day and drove to Dallas where the Saints loss by 1 point to the Cowboys. Two games in two days and we lost them both by 1 point.
