Not that it matters much, but the Cajuns lost to Rice in 1921 (54-0) ... making them 3-2 all-time vs. Rice.

I remember the game in 1988 at Cajun Field. On the opening kickoff, some overconfident Owl on special teams quipped "Welcome to the Southwest Conference!" to a group of Cajun players. Ummm, yeah ... some serious intimidation.

I was at the 83 game against Rice in Houston. We got up the next day and drove to Dallas where the Saints loss by 1 point to the Cowboys. Two games in two days and we lost them both by 1 point.
