Boomer, I understand and completely agree with this statement, but here's the kicker...

We are trying to reserve our tickets right now, but we're having to jump through a million hoops to do it!! My group is made up of about five $1000+ RCAF members and each of us have at least 10 season tickets to football, not to mention basketball, baseball, etc. Why is there a limit to how many tickets that you can buy? We should not be putting limitations on ticket sales. Last year we were able to block off 50, 60, 70 tickets to accomodate our friends and family members giving us the assurance that we'd at least be in the same section. This year with my level of RCAF, my season tickets, etc, I'm only able to get 12....that's it!! I've already talked to quite a bit of donors that are just going to wait until they go on sale to the public and buy any quantity that they want..no restrictions.

My question: WHY PUT LIMITATIONS ON TICKETS, ESPECIALLY WHEN THE DOME HAD ABOUT 20,000 OPEN SEATS LAST YEAR???

FYI. I will buy my tickets through UL becasue I understand the concept, I just think this limitation is a croc of _____!

I understand but all you get when you call the number is a recording and if you get a Cajundome operator she transfers you to the recording. Also it appears that the hotels have cut off the New Orleans bowl discounts already so hotels are going to be more expensive this year

IMO, reserving 70+ tickets and your probably bringing casual fans. That gives other donors who show up to every game and donate money just like you the same opportunity to have a good seat.

Scott.....why should you get the chance to block out 70 tickets for people that DO NOT contribute to the program like I do. Last year I was stuck on the 10 yd line and I donate just as much as you do. Large block of tickets bump people to the end zones which is unfair to someone who does not have a large group.

Here's an idea....have your group pony up the cash (250) and they can get priority seats just like the rest of us who donate instead taking your football and going play in the corner. Playing in the corner only hurts UL.

Maybe do same as other people and give up priority seats and group together. The priority seats give EVERYONE who donates a chance to get good seats

I'm not even referring to the priority seats in general, just the quantity limitation. And the 70+ tickets was just a number. I really think we will have at least 50 (Non casual, season ticket holders, some RCAF, some not).

I just know that you can go to the N.O. Bowl website and get the quantity you need. You'll also be able to go on to ticketmaster or stubhub and do the same when available....now I'm not promoting this, I'm just confused. We can't look at it as "we need to make sure our "brass" are seated comfortably and have their priority", we should be selling as many as we can sell...LARGE QUANTITIES, no restrictions. If you want a 100 get a 100!

    And P.S.

I'll sit wherever. I do like priority, it's fun to know my money got me something for a change. I'm just excited that we're back bowling again, but in the same breath, I don't want people turning elsewhere for tickets.

You do get as many as you want.....just not priority seats. The way it goes from what I understand is that the RCAF member (all of them) are accommodated in priority seats first, according to the limitations, then season ticket holders, then the public. In another thread someone is forgoing the priority seating to ensure that his large group is accommodated. His is a season ticket holder and many in his group are also. There is no limit to the season holder tickets.

I just got back form the ticket office and got no answers to my simple questions. The ticket prices are
TBA. I have two handicap persons attending (maybe with the right answers) and they don't know anything about anyone that might need handicap seating. Anyone know's about handicap seating in the superdome? No wheelchair, just can't climb.......

There are no limitations on the amount of tickets you can buy. There are limitations on the amount of PRIORITY tickets you can buy. The reason is simple: If I donate $10,000/year, then last year I could buy 500 tickets and have them all together with primo seating. So all big donors were buying off huge blocks of tickets, leaving other RCAF members with worse seating. Imagine how ____ed you were when your $1,000/year RCAF donation got you seats in the back corner of the stadium. With priority limits, it increases the value of RCAF membership for all. It also increases RCAF donations because more people will need to pony up to get good tickets. (so now people can't get away with "I know a guy that knows a guy, so I'll be on the 45 yard line")

I agree with the limitations. I just wish they were a little more (of course if they were more I'd be saying, "still more!")

UL only has access to a certain number of tickets. If we sell them we get the proceeds if we return them and the dome sells them the bowl gets the money. So right now you can buy as many tickets not allocated to UL as you want. Since there is a maximum amount of tickets that can be gotten though UL, there has to be some method of allocation. I mean really they have said much before the bowl game that many perks will now be based on donation level.

Honestly, I think it should be like a concert or any other event. Wanna go?? Buy tickets ASAP. Wanna stay at a certain hotel? Book your room early.
