I'd take Birmingham over Shreveport. Lived their after graduation. Once I got used to all the mullets it wasnt bad
BOP - IF Troy beats MTSU, the cajuns beat USA, and Ole Miss loses could you see bowl invitations going out a week early? This would guarantee ASU at least a share of the conference championship.
Ha. I played wingback in the wing T in high school in '83. Based on their performance at
NT and Ark St., I'm just saying this team has
Proved to be a little too neurotic and immature to warrant all this bowl babble.. going on about buying tickets and planning to
Play a big XII team...etc
---Just want to clarify what I think happened last year and is the modus operendi of the present bowl set up----A chosen school is given as many tickets to sell as they want---All the revenue of the Sales of tickets (UP TO A CERTAIN AMOUNT) go to that school---Last year I believe that we were able to get about $750K of money---in addition there was about a $50-$60K amount given for expenses----So I think that some Bowls let schools keep more money or give more expense monies---Can somebody give the correct procedure and how some Bowls are worth more???? Last year we burned the candle at both ends in that we had great revenue and pretty small expenses because of the NO location!!! I think that VOB and Jay will have the answer but probably 2 different versions!!! LOL
Cajunnation luvs the WAC, but hates the MAC.
It's possible, in fact, probable that some bowl bids will go out next week. There aren't a ton of games around the country on Dec. 1.
We'll know by the weekend whether the Liberty is open and that begins the domino effect.
I can't guarantee we'll know during the week, but if I were a betting man I would say yes...provided we win Saturday.
