I really hope everyone is beginning to see a developing trend of change on how the university is looking at our sports programs. The jerseys were planned well before the season began.....these guys are planning....thinking about how they can help change the culture of Cajun fans.

Hats off to Dr Savoie, Scott Farmer, Ken Winstead, Coach HUD, his staff and all the people of influence behind the scenes that are doing everything they can to give the Cajuns a chance.

I, for one, love it and I am a long for the ride!

Besides having the French words on the back as a nice touch, those fireworks were frickin awesome!!! Of all the years attending games, I cannot remember such a thing. It made me and my son's "man" day that much more special. Now, if I can only get them to come to my house for New Years, cuz I hate paying for them damn fireworks.

Helmet looks great. HUGE ___ Fleur de lis on the Chest is an epic Fail. That was horrible.

Well, I do like the concept but not the actual result. The Fleur De Lias on the helmet was next to invisible, and on the jerseys reminded me of the queen of hearts army in Alice in Wonderland. I simply did not like the red lettering and red on black. Both colors are not high on the eyes ability to receive information vs other colors, and should never be used together in close proximity.

I would like to get a French speaking broadcaster in the booth and feed it to a Quebec and/or France broadcast outlet(s).

Then in a few years we can open the season in France. Which with Louisiana's history (in my opinion) would be less pompous than Notre Dame opening in Dublin like they did this year.

How did the Irish get their own TV contract? Wide based support, about 40 million U.S. residents are of Irish decent.

There are over 11 million U.S. residents of French decent.

It's just a niche but UL can tap it.

Eleven million, and not five percent can speak a word of the language except for popular Beatle songs.

Believe me Turb, a big tackle named Jean Pierre Boudreaux in Chicago could care less about his great,great,great PaPa, and the French. I mean I am proud of the Cajuns and their culture, but really French? We are not the Fighting Parisians , but Ragin'Cajuns.

The French broadcast (idea) is the cement that makes the english broadcast an enticing selling point to the networks.

Affiliation interest cannot be overstated.

And Cajun's are of FRENCH descent. It ties directly into the university's effort in the Francophone world and gives a salute to UL's founding.

Very respectful in my opinion and gives insight to where Dr Savoie (notice the French name) is going with the program.

If you don't sure up the base you get wagon jumpers.

The French culture and naming throughout the program and university is the only thing that makes UL uniquely different from the many regional universities throughout the South. A failure to embrace that is an admission that we are just another ULM or SLU.

Well, anyhow I thought the uniforms looked sharp, the fireworks really added a great dimension and the team played well and won. Too bad there weren't more people in the stands to enjoy
