Sorry. Not impressed.

I just talked with Coach Bustle and he wanted me to tell you he was sorry. One thing that he really wanted to do with this hiring was to impress Hot Boudin, but was unable to. He also said that as a D1 head football coach, he looks to Hot Boudin's posts for savy tips and talent analysis', and hopes that Hot Boudin's distaste for the OC pick won't discourage him from continuing to suggest how he should run the program.

The new oc seems to be well versed in the passing game and has coached both running backs and receivers. The passing game needed a boost and I hope this coach can heip with that.

I too LMAO last night when I read this.

There are plenty of has-beens out there with a long laundry list of credentials... we have hired guys that Bustle obviously feels good about. I think the people Bustle has put together have ample experience, and what appears to be a good mix of youth, energy, experience and proven success. What the heck is wrong with them being in the Sunbelt. Gee, they know much about the teams they came from, coupled with the fact they have been studying the other opponents and playcalling for years. I see that as a plus.

We should not have any complaints about Fouquier and Brown on the defensive side. And, on the offensive side, we don't really want to revamp. We need to get WRs that run routes and hang onto the ball, and factor in play calling that elevates use of our specific talent (Fenroy and MD). I am always good with others stepping up and adding to that deadly duo.

I'm with you Z.. Welcome aboard Coach(s). My boy had a chance to talk with the new OC and he sounded pumped. I believe Coach Bustle is on the right track. With the new coach's and some outstanding recruits coming in, it looks to me that ULL is definitely going in the right direction.

After last year's debacle when UL was picked to win the SBC and go to a bowl game, Bustle needs to produce, and he knows it. He needs to win after 5 years. That he picked this guy as OC, knowing the pressure he will be under to produce, to me says a lot about the guy he picked. Either that or he just did the best he could with the salary constraints he had. Either way, year 6 needs to be a significant year and he apparently feels this guy can help to get us there.
