Cross-country transfers frequently get lost in the shuffle when recruiters come calling. Brandon Cox was an outstanding lineman in Pennsylvania before he transferred to Irving Texas. Like Jenks, Oklahoma’s Larry Pinson, who transferred to the Tulsa area from Eagan, Minnesota, Brandon drew instant attention when he moved into the Irving area.
Brandon has exceptional size, at 6-8 and 285 pounds. His speed is impressive for a man his size, Brandon bench-presses three hundred pounds, squats four hundred pounds. He has a twenty-six inch vertical jump. A more than adequate student, Brandon has a "C+" classroom average. He is expected to qualify. Brandon has the physical qualities to play on either side of the ball. Good size with the potential to get bigger. Long arms, good speed and quickness, and good feet are necessary traits on either side of the ball.
The list of schools recruiting Brandon is impressive, particularly when in light of his recent transfer. Arizona State, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana at Lafayette, Minnesota, Oklahoma, Texas A&M, Tulane, UTEP, and Wisconsin are all very interested.
