Have they ever snubbed Tech? I can see why they want others... LSU or large TV and/or traveling out of staters. But, with the "everyone in Shreveport loves Tech" that the LSUS debacle "substantiated"... I would think the I Bowl committee would prefer Tech over many many other programs. This year, you guys probably get to tell Missy, "no thanks, I think we'll pass".

I agree we are, and if it wasn't for the 2 of 4 rule, I think we would go every time we were eligible.

Before the season started the Cajun alumni chapter in the Shreveport area met to rejuvenate interest before football season began. In attendance was the mayor of Shreveport, who is married to a Cajun Graduate. He was saying how he would love to have Cajuns in Ibowl because of their fan support. Now this was before the season and since then Tech & ULM have had great seasons. In which with geographic reasons one of those 2 would make good sence. I just think there are a few more bowls that would excite the team, school, an fan base more even though the Ibowl is 3 hrs from Lafayette.

The BIGGEST Question: Which one has the LARGEST payout?

For us? The New Orleans Bowl.

And the lowest expenses. And we'll sell more tickets and get more of that money. More alumni in the New Orleans area will go and that probably re-establishes some relationships. All in all, it's financially not even close. We'd have to hit a major bowl payout in order to improve financially over the NO Bowl. It will take UL IMO being in the top 25 before we are eligible to earn a bowl bid that financially competes with the NO Bowl (financially for us).

Dallas would be great. $4 train ride to stadium from any downtown hotel up to Plano ;-)

    Agree 100%!

If for some reason we are not in N.O., I would much rather play in S'port against a school like SMU, Vandy, or Duke than play in Mobile against a MAC school.

    Not even close.

    SDSU sold 1,000 tickets +/-.

We might have had 30k, which is still great. Just don't need people putting Tulane numbers out there.

My group had 10 more!!!---WE have a bunch of alumns on the N-Shore, NO, and River parishes---then you add the Lafayette 2 and a half hour drive folks---I say we had 40K of the bunch---look closely at the pictures and see the Cajun colors and fans!!!!

I'm just laughing at how, one bowl later, it's we don't want to go there, or there, or there.
