Louisiana travels to Omaha, Neb. to play a game against the University of Nebraska-Omaha on Friday, Nov. 16 beginning at 7:00 p.m. at Sapp Fieldhouse. This will be just the second meeting between the two teams. Last season, Omaha traveled to Lafayette and the Cajuns beat the Mavericks 62-60 in overtime. Under the direction of first-year head coach Garry Brodhead, the Cajuns are coming off a convincing 83-42 victory against LSU-Shreveport to open its home portion of the schedule. UL returns just four players from a year ago, opening the season with seven newcomers (five freshmen and two junior college transfers). Omaha, who had a 15-12 overall record last season, returns three starters from last year’s squad and seven returning letterwinners. The Mavericks were tough to beat at home last season, posting a 9-3 record in Sapp Fieldhouse.
