From the Fletcher years.
Yes, and he was a special player, even got drafted by the NBA, I think late first round.
I'm not a basketball person but I did enjoy going to those games as a student. They were fun to watch and Sydney Grider when he was on he was amazing. I wonder what happened to him?
I have his rookie card some where in my house.
I had the opportunity to be the kid who gave the players water, take warm-ups and hand out towels behind the home bench in those years and he was a really cool guy. Loved seeing those guys from that close and seeing the athleticism. And it was pretty cool getting to be in the locker room before and after games. Brooks was always one of my favorite players.
Kevin was drafted by the Bucks then was trade to Denver right after being drafted. A few years later I was having dinner with Todd Hill and he told me Kevin had been cut by the nuggets because he didn't want to go to practice early one morning after coming back from a road trip. Those teams were some of my favorites.

If you got to the Cajundome early, Kevin and Aaron Mitchell were always the first ones at the arena shooting. They also loved it when young families got there really early. They would take the kids, put them on their shoulders and let them dunk.
Kevin might have trouble guarding you, but offensively he was probably our best big man ever. Dude shot 42% from three for his career.
He wouldnt have had trouble guarding me, however.
I had several classes with Kevin, very nice to be around.
A little more info on Keven from Wikipedia.
"Brooks moved to Australia with former Nuggets teammate Darnell Mee to play with the NBL's Adelaide 36ers for two seasons in the late 1990s, where he and his teammates went on to win back-to-back championships in 1998 and 1999. Brooks was named the NBL Grand Final MVP in 1998 and made the All-NBL First Team in 1999. Brooks averaged 18.8 points, 6.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists in 98 games with the 36ers (including his stint with the team in 2001-02 where he was instrumental in the 36ers 4th and his 3rd NBL championship)."
