Strange. No comments on your board about the way your new OC played both UL and Tech??

I guess you guys figure this character flaw will just magically disappear?

Surely in one of your super secret members only folders there are some sphincters puckering over this hire, huh?

It is different than if that is coming from a BC$ school. We can't compete in a bidding war with those schools.
    allegedly?

We only have one "super secret members only folders" and yes, there are some puckered sphincters...of course, there are always some puckered sphincters in there.

But, look at it as an outsider...most Tech fans don't read this board, so they never see the ULL accounts of this story. Scelfo never signed anything, so the average Tech fan probably doesn't give it a second thought.

That's the problem when there's nothing official. As far as him taking Tech for a ride, you guys can believe that if you want, but Tech made no secret of what it would pay it's coordinators and the number we heard back in late December is the same number that Scelfo is getting. Scelfo did give ULL a chance to match the offer.

I concede that the way he went about things is less than ideal, but it's tough to fault him for taking the job with such a large pay-raise.

"The way he went about things is less then ideal?" I think it's speaks directly to his character. I don't blame Tech for agreeing to his demands, but he lied to Dooley and there was never a counter offer from Bustle. He made a verbal agreement(I believe we call it his word),and was given a office and vehicle. The same vehicel he drove to Ruston in, broke his word and later lied to Dooley about the Cajuns counter offer. There was noway that Bustle would even had considered such an offer after he broke his verbal agreement. Oaks later contacted the Cajun Athletic Director Walker to question him and of course he was told the Cajuns never made a counter offer to Scelfo. In Dooley's rush to put together his staff, he has made his first official mistake in contracting this individual of questionable character.Best of luck to Tech and Dooley.

well regardless they still have extra money and an extra 50,000 does not hurt as it normally would. If they even got 300k that would cover his extra salary for 6 years.

We'll find out in February what recruits think of it. I totally understand the anger of some of the members of this board...totally.

PS: Maybe I have a future in politics.
