I used to lose 1420 driving on Mt. Vernon (behind old Academy) when driving from my girlfriend's house in River Ranch to my apartment off Johnston. I always thought they turned down the signal because they were cheap and they wanted to save mula.

It is an FCC requirement to turn down the power in the evenings on AM stations.

Turbine ---I think that this is the worst of UL athletics--Imagine not being able to hear a game 15 miles away--Time for these guys to step up with FM for the games or we go to another station--Why not???? We need the entire community to step up ---How about KPEL!!!!

The Lady Cajuns are on 1420 only.

And, frankly, you should be happy they are on at all.

We get NO sponsor support for them. We do the games that we can do in order to help them get coverage.

But I don't know how much longer we'll be able to do that.
