VERLIN MOORE
Two-time All-State selection for Pompano High's Tornadoes, earning second team honors in Class 2A in 2004 and stepping up to a first team selection following a stellar season in 2005. Finished a six-game hurricane-shortened senior season with 58 catches for 937 yards and 10 touchdowns. In his junior season he had 60 receptions for 1,008 yards and 12 scores earning him the first of what would become two All-Broward County selections. Miami Herald ranked him fifth among receivers in the Miami metro area. Four-year starter at PHS, he helped lead coach Vince Stephens' squad to the second round of the Class 2A playoffs each of the past two years. He is also a starter for Pompano's basketball team and runs on the 4x100-meter relay team.
CHRIS JOHNSON
Three-year starter at defensive end for Fontainebleau High School and helped lead the squad of coach Larry Favre to the Class 5A state semifinals as a junior. He had 45 tackles, six sacks and three caused fumbles during that season. Was a second-team pick on the All-District 4-5A team as a senior in the hurricane-shortened season for FHS, the state's largest school. The Bulldogs went 4-1 in the regular season. Also participated in track and powerlifting for Fontainbleau, throwing the discus and finishing sixth in the state in his weight class in his first year of powerlifting last spring.
DAYLON McCOY
Will be making the switch from linebacker to strong safety next year. 150 tackles and two interceptions for a touchdown during his senior season. Texas 3A Defensive Player of the Year. Two-time All-State and two-time All-East Texas. As a senior, was the MVP of District 16-3A and was defensive MVP on the TexasHSFootball.com selections. He was a key part of the Tatum High squad that claimed the Texas state Class 3A Division II title. Made key plays in each of his team's six playoff wins. Ran sprints for the Tatum track team.
FRANTZ ACCIME
One of South Florida's top defensive backs, made the Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel's All-Broward county squad in 2005. Second Team All-State. First Team All-County. Collected 50 tackles, two interceptions and two defensive touchdowns during his senior season. Currently a member of the Boyd Anderson High track team.
BLAKE RAMSEY
Three-time All-St. Tammany Parish. Two-time All-District 4-5A. In seven games during the 2005 season (lost some games due to Hurricane Katrina), had 57 tackles, 31 solo stops, 12 tackles for loss, 6 sacks and one interception.
MAURICE ROLLE
Led South Plantation High School in tackles in both his junior and senior seasons, averaging 10 stops per game in 2004 and almost 11 during the 2005 season. Also had four interceptions, one of which he returned for a touchdown. Was a three-year letterman for SPHS. Named All-Broward County second team in 2005 after being named honorable mention as a junior in 2004. Registered 50 tackles, two sacks, four interceptions, three fumble recoveries and nine pass breakups his senior season.
JOHNATHAN DECOSTER
34 pancakes during his senior year. Second Team All-State. First Team All-County. Four-year starter.
CLARENCE FULTZ
80 tackles, 9 tackles for loss, 4 sacks in shortened senior season in 2005. Averaged 11 tackles per game in his senior year. All-West Bank MVP. All-District. All-Metro.
SHARRICK MOORE
70 tackles, 3 fumble recoveries and 1 defensive touchdown in his senior season. Second Team All-State. First Team All-County.
COLIN WINDSOR
68 tackles, 16 tackles for loss, 6 sacks, 3 forced fumbles and 3 fumble recoveries in his senior season. All-District and All-County (junior and senior seasons). First Team Academic All-State. Also played tight end.
