They were one of the last teams out. Last season Tony Robichaux's Louisiana-Lafayette team was just a game off the pace in the Sun Belt conference and one game short of 40 wins. Fans could not help but wonder what if? What if the Ragin' Cajuns had one more conference game -- they'd have likely been in a Regional. This year, the pieces are there to erase all doubt heading into the selection day. Offense Although the pitching staff gets the publicity, the Ragin Cajuns' offense has some thunder itself. Leading hitter Devery Van De Keere (.368/9/41) is back as is power-hitting catcher Jonathan Lucroy (.333/12/68). Outfielder Jefferies Tatford (.336/4/38) is another veteran stick. This is strictly for the S.East. We are underrated in alot of polls, man. This is potentially the best pitching staff we've had in a while. We got the sticks. We got Robe.

I see. I think we are underrated because we haven't performed too outstandingly in the last few years. What have you done for me lately type thing. but that is ok with me. Rather be doing the sneaking up than get sneaked upon. We just gotta win those mid-weekers. can't wait til they come here to play UH in April.

And, I hope with the "safe as kittens" line, you didn't just break up our proverbial "perfect game." If both our top arms blow out their elbows, VDK breaks his ankle, and Lucroy tears a knee, I'm coming looking for you.

Ouch, man!! It had to hurt your wrist to type all that!! We needed a few more wins last year for sure, but we got the shaft by the NCAA selection committee. You know it, I know it, and everyone else knows it. We'll keep our fingers crossed, huh?

Safe as kittens? Aren't kittens the things that are always getting stuck in trees and having to be rescued from burning buildings while old ladies shriek in horror? And I'm pretty sure they are also the things that get caught in my fan belt and splattered all over the road on my way to school on a cold winter day. Plus they are the mortal enemy of every dog on earth. That doesn't sound to safe to me.

Perhaps we should say we're as safe as the gold in Fort Knox.

Either way, after the let down in football and basketball, I'm really looking forward to having some peanuts and a beer at the tigue. I expect a lot of "W's" and a lot of "K's" this season. It's going to be fun.

Living in Houston, football games are easy to make, they are all on saturdays (usually) and i don't work on weekends. BAsketball are tough, have to be fortunate to have a game on a weekend that i am visiting. However, Friday night baseball games are like nothing else. I will make every effort to be there as many times as possible this year.

I would not say that either. Fort Knox has not been through a physical audit since the Eisenhower administration. Our Central Bank has been dumping and leasing gold for years, but not accounting for it properly in the accounting statements.
