BOP, you'll appreciate this... his walkout song is "Stuntin' Like Mah Daddy"
I just salavate whenever I think of the part of the lineup with Lucroy, Tatford, Hawkins, Van De Cure, and now Robicheaux!!!!!Originally Posted by BirdofParadise
Cajuns beat UTSA today 5-2. Brett Solich went 6.2 shutout innings for his first collegiate win. Allowed six hits, struck out seven with two walks.
Kolin Hatfield and Nolan Gisclair each knocked in two runs for the Cajuns, who scored single runs in five different innings.
Cajuns go for the sweep tomorrow at 1. They'll face UTSA's ace tomorrow.
Cajuns will decide tonight who throws for UL tomorrow.
Is there something wrong with moody?
Moody had a tender elbow, should be back as the Friday night starter next Friday against Ill.
Brent Solich not Brett.Originally Posted by BirdofParadise

Great Job Cajuns...
Sounds like Hatfield has a canon from the outfield...
I had heard so much about his presence on the mound, but this kid is better than advertised. He's the real deal in the batting lineup. I still want to see him pitch, but I can't believe what he's doing out there as a freshman in the lineup. Simply amazing. This is going to be a wonderful 3 (praying for 4) years of Ragin' Cajun baseball.

No Problem
Hatfield threw a one hop dart to the plate for the third out to end the inning.
How about his bat, 3 for 3 (clutch hits) with 2 RBI's.
Keep it Going Cajuns
Three new junior faces began showing their value to the UL baseball squad Saturday, and because of that the Ragin' Cajuns remained unbeaten in the 2007 season.
Junior college outfielder Nolan Gisclair had a pair of two-out hits to provide UL's first two runs, transfer outfielder Kolin Hatfield had two late-game RBI hits, and juco lefthander Brent Solich handcuffed Texas-San Antonio for seven innings to boost the Cajuns to a 5-2 victory at UTSA's Roadrunner Field in San Antonio.
The Cajuns, who took a 10-2 Friday win in the weekend opener, wrap up a three-game series with the Roadrunners at 1 p.m. today.

It has taken a few years coach John Szefc has really taught these kids how to hit.

Thank goodness we have a guy like that here. Hope he continues to work these guys hard. We will especially be thankfull when J. Robe is gone, and T. Robe has even less reason not to move on or something like thatOriginally Posted by Carmon
