I think I can speak for most in offering up a big thank you to the Boise State team. That was a grerat call on the hook, and ladder, and even more gutsy call on the Statue of Liberty to go for the win in overtime.

OHH but non-BCS schools don't deserve to play in these games remember because they can't compete lol However its amazing that both times a non-BCS school has crashed the BCS party they have left with a trophy. Huge win for Boise and their first year head Coach Peterson and also a huge win for the non-BCS schools out there.

Well, I pulled the biggest faux pas of the New Year. When Oklahoma intercepted to take the lead with a 1:02 left. I got disgusted and went to bed.

My wife wakes me up this morning and says, "some game last night", to which I replied, "yep, until Boise gave it away". I was so teed off at myself when I turned on Sports Center and saw the replays.

Glad to see Boise beat the Sooners.

the first one wasn't much of an upset, if any at all, because Pitt was terrible [7 wins, i think] and Utah was really good, with hot coach and future #1 draft choice. This one was GREAT--against a 'big name' school from big name conference who has played in THREE championship games this decade. wonderful win. by far most fun bowl to watch yet.

Too bad, Clutch. I almost followed in your footsteps, but for whatever reason I stayed up to watch the end. Lucky me!!

The OU coach, Stoops, is not much of a gentleman. He may have done so, but I did not see him meeting with the Boise State coach. In fact one of the Boise assistants did try to shake Stoops' hand, but he brushed him off. and I presume he headed on into the dressing room. He was in a hurry to get off the field.

It was, in a way, humorous to see the facial expressions of OU fans that were captured by the TV cameras. Total disbelief that they had lost, and the manner in which they lost, to a "mid major school".

Let's hope that we don't find out later that NCAA violations were committed in the tremendous rise of this program, because that would be a blow for non-BCS 1-A football. Let's also hope that Boise State can maintain a level of excellence and a Sun Belt team down the road makes a similar run (hopefully us!).

Boise State has been 1-A for about 10 years and what amazes me is that they have continued their ascent despite having something like four coaches during that period. I believe they were a JUCO as recently as the 1960s.

They have less competition than we do where they're located in terms of 1-A schools nearby but they probably have to wander further off the beaten path to get players. I read where their budget has risen to $18.5 million, which probably hovers around the 1-A average. They have a 30,000 seat stadium like we do. They may have written their ticket to the Mountain West if they can follow up.

This was a tremendous accomplishment and hopefully we can work up to nationally ranked status one day.

I was so p!~~@d that the Boisie QB thru the pick, it looked rigged in my mind, and to hear the announcers say what a game it had been but OK was just too strong, made me furious.

It took everything I had not to change the channel, I am so glad I did not!

In OT the 25 yard running play for OK about killed me over. But not as much as the INT.

I was hoping Boisie could punch it in and then GEAUX for 2. My question was what type of misdirection were they going to call. They made it look easy. I am so proud of Boisie!

Congrats Broncs(WAC), you have certainly made a name for yourself!!!
