If you did play the game no one school would have more to lose or gain than the other. It would be 2 mid majors playing a non conference game with no travel expense. I know makes way to much sense to do it. ULM does play in a confrence that today is better top to bottom than the WAC or CUSA.

The ratings and viewership levels would be lousy for any matchup.

Odds are most people around the country would not see the game or care about it regardless of the teams that play in the game. It could be a 6-6 ACC team vs. a 6-6 SEC team or Louisiana Tech vs. ULM in the Indy Bowl. Most of the country would not care in any case.
You could always schedule Northern Illinois for that huge Chicago market and all the fans they bring.

We remember Davidson's sock puppet Dooley stating that Tech was too good to play UL, Ulm or any other Sun Belt program.

And we're now grateful that Dooley is gone, even though Dykes probably won't be in Ruston too much longer

    I have these comments:

    1. I have seen both teams play - TWICE each.

    2. Both have outstanding QB's

    3. Browning has the edge

    4. Because of his OL

    5. BirdOParadise is extremely professional

    6. As such, his assessments are usually spot-on and non-partisan

    7. Polls are like A__holes

    8. Everyone has one.

    9. Tech is a big one

    10. If they keep moaning, my suggestion would be for Bird to ignore them completely in his voting.

    11. That would drop them to a more realistic 35-38 level that matches their defense and sub-par 2012 opponents.

    12. Someone needs to tell the techies that their poop DOES stink.

Oh brother.....NO ONE from Tech is acting cocky on this board. All Tech people have been completely civil. I don't expect anyone from the UL system to give Tech any credit at any time. Thats not why I'm on here. But to ignore what Tech has done this year is just asinine. Sure ULM is the newest Johnny come lately in the Belt..... Could they beat Tech? Sure. But i think Tech would beat a ULM 7 times out of 10. Is that cocky? No.

I guess the only way to know would be to schedule them for the next 10 years.
