Ya'll just need to hope the pre-Dec 19th Brees shows up.
Speaking of Adams--how about the sack he missed as he flew past Rogers on an earlier blitz?????? He just flew past on a very similar play!!!
My opinion... for the Saints to win, the OFFENSE from the first half of the season needs to return. I don't think anyone thought the defense would carry this team. We all felt (I'm pretty sure) that the strength of this team by far would be the offense... and the defense, having improved over last year, would be the difference to get them over the hump this year. When we began having problems at about week 10 or so, it is because the offense began to struggle, particularly the running game. If you look at the score of some games, the offense was scoring only 17 or so points... and the defense added a touchdown. And even looking at the 17 or so points the offense would score, 7 to 10 of those points were off of a short field after the defense caused a turnover. In those same games, the defense was allowing only 17 to 20 points. Not bad for the NFL.
I surely don't consider myself a football expert, but I think the key to us winning 3 more games lies with the offense returning to what it did in the first 9 or so games.

Don't even go to the playoffs thing, since the panthers were created in 96, we have 6 wins in the playoffs in only 10 appearances, 3 NFC Championship appearances, and 1 NFC Championship/Super Bowl Appearance. The Saints have 8 post season games total since their creation in 1967, have won only 2 of them and only been to the NFC championship one time.
Don't get me wrong, I'm pulling for the Saints, and I want them to win the Super Bowl, but understand that the Panthers have accomplished more in 14 years than what the Saints have in 42. Hopefully the Panthers and Saints can meet up 3 times next year with one of those games being for the NFC championship.
