Taylor announced himself as "Swaggin". I don't think Adams got an introduction as he was not a starter on D and plays mostly special teams. But the rest of the country was introduced to him with his heads up plays.

The tv announcer also commented shortly after the introduction that Swaggin is not a university. I'm glad the announcer didn't throw in Louisiana-Lafayette. After hearing this crap again, I found myself pulling for Michael Adams and the Cardinals. There is no excuse for Taylor to be doing that.

Did I also hear another defensive back introduce himself as from Louisiana? I am wondering if it was someone from ULM and used Louisiana instead.

In any event, I've lost interest in watching or pulling for Taylor. He got beat like a drum last night anyway, just got lucky enough for the team win. It would have been a great thing for UL for Taylor to use the Louisiana name, especially with some recruits still deciding on where to go. Who knows if it would have had an impact or not, but it certainly couldn't hurt.

I disagree. With his behavior, attitude, and play.. It could have hurt. He's a bafoon. And the reference to "Louisiana" was Ryan Clark, who attended LSU.

Ike Taylor did not play poorly last night. He managed to keep Fitzgerald quiet for 2 and a half quarters, that's a huge accomplishment. His coverage on Fitzgerald's touchdown was pretty good, if you looked at the replay he nearly knocked the ball out of his hands. On Fitzgerald's long td, he got beat on a crossing route, which is pretty common, his safeties were no where to be found. His "swaggin" intro is pretty dumb, but according to some posters on here it's in reference to playing with swagger while at UL. Don't try to make him out to be a poor corner just because he ____ed you off.

There is no justification for deliberately choosing to promote self over roots in a forum where ever other one of your colleagues are paying homage to their alma mata. If this were an accepted practice, you'd see it happen much more in the NFL. Not to mention, every nationally televised game I've seen the Steelers play, the commentators take a shot at him. It's embarrassing.

I thought I played excellent the 1st half and poor in the 2nd half. He did about all you could do on the TD, it was just an amazing catch by Fitzgerald.
