Loreauvile / Catholic High Rivalry Game

Decided to start our own thread instead of highjacking the other threads. The side stuff has begun. Today, when the LHS team arrived at the practice field there was a "CHS District Champs 2011" banner hanging from one of the goal posts. Well, it was promptly burnt by the team before they started practicing.

No, I'm the director of the youth baseball league and coached many of the players in pee-wee football.

You do realize it was likely a Loreauville coach who hung that, right? Not a lot for CHS to gain firing up the other team.....

Nobody ever knows or admits who does these things. Except that one time the black roses showed up at the CHS coaches office (he bought them himself). While its a rivalry, it's all in fun no matter who pulls the prank.

Yeah one year "the ville" was spray painted on one of our buildings. Didn't work, Antoine (Derwin) demolished us....

I will say in advance that the following is from my personal experience. Playing at Loreauville is tough for CHS. I remember getting spit on by their fans and beer bottles thrown at our bus. And the best one was when I was a young one on the team; we had a player injured on the last play of the game laying in the middle of the field. While the training staff was attending to him and the team on the sidelines, they turned the lights off on us. So to say the rivalry does not go deep and have a colorful history is an understatement.
