Thanks Clutch! I've been trying to find him on rivals.com and a couple of other sites, but no luck so far. If anyone else gets some scoop on this kid, please post.

I went to yahoo and typed in Chris Masson Miami and it brought up newspaper artcles that had references to him. Didn't find anything that was very impressive in the articles but I didn't read very many either.

Exactly....no one knows but the coaches what they see in this kid and if they believe he has potential to be great I trust them. Some of the best players aren't heavily recruited or very good in high school but they develope into great players.

Can I ask where the Odom and Masson comittment confirmations come from, I'm guessing from the News, which I must admit I don't watch. I guess I just don't consider it rock solid until I see it in a newspaper article, so if anybody had the articles for Odom and Masson comitting I'd appreciate a link.

Someone on here said they heard odom on the news and Masson and Cox had an article in the advocate.

  10. UL Football Cajuns get commitment from Florida QB

Chris Masson saw UL's offense in person earlier this year when the Ragin' Cajun football team traveled to Miami and took a Florida International.

Obviously, he liked what he saw.

The 6-foot-0 1/2, 175-pound Masson, heralded as one of South Florida's top prep quarterbacks, gave UL coach Rickey Bustle a verbal commitment this week and became the fifth Cajun commitment for the 2007 recruiting class.

"I think I can run that offense perfect," Masson said Friday. "Going to that game (the FIU game) was a great deal for me because it's similar to the offense we've run.

"We don't do as much of the zone read, but we do all the shotgun and rolling out, getting on the move, and I really like that."

Masson liked it enough to guide Christopher Columbus High in Miami to a 5-0 start and a final 7-4 record, completing 150 of 293 passes for 1,805 yards and 19 scores with nine interceptions as a senior.
