I will not believe for a second that those players "quit", "have no heart", or any of the other accusations thrown out there by some posters in this thread. Coach Hudspeth would not dress out guys with those character flaws and put them out there to represent his program. We got beat, unfortunately it happens sometimes and it sucks. I still believe we have the right man leading this team and I guarantee he is much more upset about this game than any of us and he will continue to work tirelessly to bring this program to a level that will make us all proud!
They quit Nina. If you've ever played organized sports, you know they quit. At what point last year did you ever see that team look so hopeless? Even against OSU and down 2 scores late in the game to ULM, guys were jumping around, full of hope, knowing they could pull off the Win. They were physically out manned, an they knew it.

The defense stayed on the field so long that they had absolutely nothing left. All of the "3 and outs" by the offense caused this. It really hurt not having Harris.

No doubt. Even Broadway's great run on play 1 for a TD had a consequence. Defense right back on the field. NT did a great job of exploiting our tired defense. That was some of the best shifting, guard pulling, and run blocking I've seen in a while. I just didn't think it would be NT against us.

They looked that hopeless against WKU last year.

I'm thinking Florida might run it as well!

Just a note. The game was NOT on NATIONAL TV. It was on cable. There is a difference.

Please explain. Is ESPN2 not televised nationally?

And WKU beat them the same way. Soundly.

No, if you don't have cable you don't have ESPN2, or ESPN for that matter. For instance, the cable penetration in Lafayette is 80%. So, 20% of people in Lafayette couldn't watch the game.

That doesn't mean that it wasn't nationally televised. CNN and Foxnews are on cable. Are they not nationally televised? If you mean that many viewers across the nation don't have EPSN2... that may be accurate. However, it wasn't a "regionally or locally" televised game. It was on "nationally".
