Want to help fight crime in Jennings?? Well, there's an app for that. Jennings Police are using what's called the "iWatch" app. It allows residents to help police fight crime in real time. City coordinator Michelle Hebert says, "iWatch Jennings" is a way for citizens to take an active, anonymous role in fighting crime. It puts crime reporting in the palm of your hands.
"If you see something, say something. That's the theme behind iWatch," said Hebert.
If you see a crime, or something suspicious, you can call, text, or e-mail police. The app allows you to take pictures and record video.
"There's also a global GPS so police can know where the tip came from," said Hebert.
