I'm currently caught in a massive traffic jam on Highway 14 in the Mulvey / Wright, La. area caused by an accident involving an 18-wheeler that smashed into a herd of huge, ten-foot Bigfoot on their yearly southern migration to the Pecan Island area. Blood and guts are everywhere as State Police, paranormal investigators, and a combination of FBI and CIA agents are complicating the rescue scene.

Despite objections from my wife, I personally have given CPR to some of the better looking Bigfoot females, saving at least four lives in the process while having a highly erotic experience that shall remain confidential. Reporters from KATC TV 3, KLFY TV 10 and KPLC TV 7 are on the scene filing reports for their 10 p.m. news.

President Barack Hussein Obama will be making a riveting speech about what is being called the Gueydan-Bigfoot Tragedy after flying into LeGros Airport in Midland later this evening.

Also, President Obama is expected to be blaming former Republican President George W. Bush for the unfortunate incident, citing an absence of Bigfoot Crossing Signs in the area.

Obama will also be holding an impressive $1.50 a dinner / fundraiser at the Gueydan Civic Center at 4 a.m. where the Bigfoot remains will be prepared in a 125-gallon black cast iron cooking pot for a delicious jambalaya feast. I expect a capacity Civic Center crowd of at least 45 people to be on hand for the occasion.

I am anxiously awaiting you, Boomer, as well as Cajun T, Turbine, BOP, Chicken Hawk, Bandwagon King, Zeebart, etc., to be here for this historic occasion, which will undoubtedly be covered by the incomparable trio of reporters Chris Rosa of the Abbeville Meridional, Kevin Foote of the Daily Advertiser, and Justin Idiot of the Gueydan Gazette.

BYOB rules will be in effect as usual, my friend.

    Sincerely,
    Michael J. Rizzuto

-----Well too bad you don't live in Wright --you would be home!!!! Well the poor kid from Gueydan is just their whole team and plays every snap---I think Gueydan had 26 kids dressed----Anyway he took a KO to the house and saved some VC potential TDS---The VC kid is out for some time per---CHRIS ROSA----I left at half and I think it was about 60-6---Can the kid at GHS play college ball????? looked very fast racing down VC ball carriers and he turned it on with the KO return but like YOU said---class 1-A!!!!

Yes, he can play college ball. He has been offered by ULM, North Texas, and many more. With UL coaching, he will improve rapidly, as GHS has but one FB coach in Jay Landry. The kid has the size to play DB and runs a 4.5 in the forty. He has a great attitude and makes good grades. His uncles played basketball when I was at GHS, and although they didn't start, they were great guys. I coached his father (Troy Derouen) when I taught at GHS, too. Had a chip on his shoulder back in school, but his older brothers put him in line quickly. But as we both know, Trevor's current level of talent and his ability to improve will be determined by Hud and crew. I am confident that they will make the right decision, but if they can get better players than Derouen, then I'm all for that too. Class 1-A does not help his chances either, as you duly noted in your previous post.

I love Trevor Derouen. Taught him in one of my classes last year. He's a bright kid with a great attitude and he's got great talent. It's almost impossible to catch him without a smile on his face. I could see him being a return guy/safety in college (and I definitely think he's got the ability to play D1 ball). He's got good speed, and when he gets a hole he's as good as gone. It's hard to tell how he'd run in a more traditional offense, though. Gueydan doesn't exactly spread the field, and I've never seen him get the ball out of the I-formation. But you'd be hard-pressed to find a kid with a better attitude, work ethic, or willingness to do whatever's necessary to win (as stated above, he plays literally every snap of the game).

------I almost went to see you but didn't want to interfere with your music!!!Does he run track ---Would love to see his time in the 100 meters in the state meet---remember that Carter ran 10.03---How much weight you think he should gain to play --looked a lil thin!!!

I think he runs track, but I'm not sure; all I really keep up with is football and basketball. He's definitely going to be a redshirt guy. He's going to benefit from that extra year to get in the weight program and put on 10-15 pounds. He's got the frame to carry it, though.
