Thread: Stover, cover teams shining

  1. Default Stover, cover teams shining

He runs downfield on a mission, the importance of pinning an opponent deep — and the joy of helping it happen himself — high on his mind.

Back in the days the guy that KOed also played another position---The deal was don't follow the flight of the ball cause they were sending a guy right head on to kill you---Seen that in films----the deal was to kick it---dodge the block---get back into your lane----go make a tackle!! Great to see this renewed element of the game!!!

Believe me, this young man is a hard nosed, smart and talented football player that could step in and play linebacker at anytime if the coaching staff would allow. He has a good feel for the game and plays with a fearless attitude and shows up at the rightnplace at the right time. I hope he is given the chance to contribute on defense when the time is right. I don't think the coaching staff knows what they are missing out on in this young man but in due time....watch out!

I love watching Hunt running down field looking to take a returners head off! Kid was an absolute stud at LB for ND. BTW, hows Jake's hip?

I could not agree with you more about Stover. The coaching staff, especially Coach Stewart, do not know what they are missing out on with Stover, as well as many other guys who were not recruited by this staff. In due time, Hud and other coaches will want to "kick themselves" for not realizing those players' potential!!

Many of bustles players have flourished under this coaching staff. Often times in position they did not play previously.
