Not a bad idea Rhineaux. Just not sure if Scelfo would go for it. But I like how you're thinking.

Bustle shakes up Cajun staff
UL Sports Information
University of Louisiana football coach Rickey Bustle has made changes to his staff after an evaluation of where the football program is after five seasons.
Offensive Coordinator/Quarterbacks Coach Rob Christophel, Defensive Coordinator/Linebackers Coach Brent Pry, Wide Receiver Coach Brian Crist and Cornerbacks Coach Terry Sims will not return for the 2007 season.
“The business side of athletics is tough,” said Bustle. “It’s especially difficult when it comes to decisions about making a difference in a football program, in particular the coaches who have worked extremely hard to build a program and have been loyal and excellent role models to the community, their players and the University.”
Christophel, Pry and Crist were all members of Bustle’s original staff hired in December 2001. Sims replaced Clay Jennings prior to the 2005 season after Jennings left to take a position at the University of Houston.
Both Christophel and Pry were Bustle’s original coordinators, holding the position at the time of their hiring. Pry was promoted to Assistant Head Coach in 2004.

Can we please, please stop using the word "great" when talking about these guys getting fired? To most of you they're just names and "fired" is just a word. These guys are class acts, good people with families, who spent countless hours over the last five years trying to take this program to the next level. And in my eyes they did. Remember what things were like before they got here? So even if you are happy that these guys lost their jobs, in the public eye, no less, keep it to yourselves and let these guys leave with some dignity. Thanks.
I don't think anyone was disrespectful to these coaches. We all believe they are great men and wish them well for the future, we just know that it is a good sign that Bustle is not sitting down just hoping for soemthing to happen but he is going out and doing something.Originally Posted by RCV24
I wish these coaches the best and hope they all find great jobs and go on to do great things.
That would get the Cajun faithful fired up for next year. What type of person is Scelfo? He just got a million dollar payday. Is he a workaholic because if not I don't see him doing it?Originally Posted by Clutch0364
I, for one, did say i feel great about the situation. I feel great that our head coach is trying to make moves to help our program. to clarify, i do not feel great that these men have lost their job, which in turn creates a lot of emotional and mental discomfort for them and their families.Originally Posted by RCV24
to reiderate: thanks to these coaches for what they have done to represent my school and for helping progress my school's football program.
VCR, if you are referring back to my comment on "GREAT" then let me say I apologize for hurting your feelings. Now, enough with the pitty party. We all know these guys did a good job while they were here, yadda yadda yadda. No one is accusing them of making our program look bad or not being fine role models/citizens. All we're saying is sometimes you just have to "Let A Man Go"! In this circumstance it happens to be MEN. We wish them THE BEST with their futures and Much Success. It's just TIME TO MOVE ON!!
