----Fifty years ago the Jesuit Blue jays were about to enter into the Catholic District games---Coach Ken Tarzetti gathered the team and told the team about his experiences in Mississippi as a kid---people would ride their horses down the railroad tracks and the horses would dump their load only to have a bunch of flies all around the excrement----He said he wanted to have the defense be like these Horse ____ flies and be around the football---Next practice we all come out with HSF in big letters on our helmets---Doubt if the opponents ever knew what those "Marks-a-Lot" letters on that white tape meant----But we certainly did---At our banquet honoring our undefeated season we had HS fly posters surrounding the banquet---OUR ROPE!!!!
That is a tough one Boomer, you guys were dedicated.
"Don't let go of the HS"
Did you watch the video? You can visually see the amount of excitement an alternate uniform generated for the Ohio players. I'm not making claims about game performance impact. Just wanted to share that video and my opinion that it gets the athletes fired up.
Ease up.
Man, those are some snazzy helmets. I like the white face mask better. The fleur de lis looks great. I'm scratching my head wondering if introducing that into our already large UL symbology takes us to a better place... or does it add to the identity confusion.
