I'm not suggesting that is what you are advocating it, but why would anyone want to put the Acadiana Flag on our helmets. For that matter, why is our band the Pride of Acadiana? We are not the University of Acadiana. We are the University of Louisiana and should represent the state, not a region of the state. The band should be the Pride of Louisiana.

We were already not a regional school, hence the need to change the name.

Officially, yes like UT Austin or Nebraska Lincoln. Athletically, we are LOUISIANA. It is who we are and it is legal. No need to further confuse with the Acadiana reference which further regionalizes us.
