What the guy who started the FB page does not know is that by LA law students cannot assess themselves a fee for academic improvements. Either faculty salary or facilities. So, his point is moot. But, why be honest. Also, how much do you want to bet that the kid probably never attended one of the meetings re: the master Plan.
I didnt read the specifics about the master plan and fee increase, but i would vote in favor of it... I had to pay increased tuition for a new weight room at Bourgeios Hall, indoor practice facility, parking tower, new dorms, and new softball stadium. As an alumni i have season tickets and donate to the RCAF. Tell the little spoiled brats to nut up and do their part to improve The University of LOUISIANA!!!
And i forgot to add, even though i paid the increased tuition for all those things... I have no access to them because i graduated before they were completed. Im not mad about it because i knew my money would make UL a better place for future students, just as past alumni had done for me. It's an investment for the future (especially for our children and grandchildren)
Considering how many students pay their tuition with TOPS and Pell grants, I'd say the tax payer is footing the bill on tuition raises.
Did my part today. Geaux Cajuns!!
I voted yes
