I am confident that if we win the next three we will be ranked going into the Florida game.

If we're 7-1 going into the Florida game (a real possibility), we'll most likely break into the top 25. I can't even imagine what would happen if we could pull out a victory in Gainesville...

USM was CUSA champion last year and but for 1 loss, a loss to UAB of all people, they'd have played in a BCS bowl. They're 0-5 this year and ranked 102nd out of 124 BCS schools in this poll. I don't believe that their talent level has dropped off that much, they just made one of the worst coaching hires in the history of BCS football. They're in a really tight spot now because they don't have the money to buy out the guys contract if they were to fire him. This situation is proof that when hiring a new coach, you MUST get it right. Look at what the hiring of Baldwin did to UL football. That decision alone cost us a decade of advancement as a football program. Even if it is in the middle of recruiting season, you have to take the time to study the candidates and get it right. I'll take one bad recruiting class in place of one bad Head Coach any day of the week. USM panicked and acted too quickly. They thought they were making a safe choice by hiring an older, somewhat established coach that would keep things rolling along. Instead, they hired a has-been that surrounded himself with other has-beens who together, have so far managed to do to USM football program exactly what Baldwin did for UL's.

Guys, leave Tech alone. They are not the enemy, nor are they worth the energy. Just let the season play out and focus the energy on getting some more Ws for the Cajuns.

If you want respect, you cant worry about others. Lets the Tiggers and Dawgs be. If you wanna rail on Fun-roe, have at it. At least we get a chance to prove it on the field with them.

As long as the boys take care of business on the field it will all work out... I will not count on a victory at UF (I can hope though), but we should be favored or within a touchdown of every opponent (other than UF).
