Thread: Props to Jay Walker!

  1. #1

    Default Props to Jay Walker!

I love to be critical of Jay as much as the next person, but I have to give props to Jay today.

The topic of show is all about Ragin Cajun football. SO all of you out there that have been waiting for this show, tune in and add your thoughts.

Anyhow, someone called to talk about LSU and the BCS and Jay cut him off saying, "this is about UL football and if you dont have a comment about that, then I have to let you go." The caller got annoyed and SWORE to never call back.

Jay let him go and pulled the "we are in Lafayette Louisiana" card, sorry if you dont like todays topic!

Tune in folks, here is our chance to run with it and push for more shows like this!

Again, props Jay! Thanks for the time today.

Well done Walker. It always ____ed me off how he said he was a fan but had an "obligation" to talk about everything. Jay the fan needs to come out more.

Not to be ugly, but have they run out of things to talk about or are they keeping the show interesting today. The only reason I say this is because his show usually goes in so many directions. And the majority of it is LSU, Baseball and the Saints, with about 30-40 going to UL football. That's more of a knock on the callers more than the show host. Hell what else can be said about LSU that hasn't been said anyway. They need to go on a UL tear to talk about shortcommings this year, and what goes on next year. Stevie P spent alot of time talking about the QB situation for next year, and also alot about recruiting and the WR's not being able to catch.

Kracka, you are something else. I acknowledge how adroit you are at stirring it up.

Ok since I don't use big words like that. I looked up the definition.
    Main Entry: adroit
    Pronunciation: &-'droit
    Function: adjective
Etymology: French, from Old French, from a- (from Latin ad-) + droit right, droit
: having or showing skill, cleverness, or resourcefulness in handling situations

That would be correct to describe me..... But I wasn't trying to stir it up. I am trying to improve the overall image of the LSU fanbase, not harm it.

Okay, Kracka, I will give you the benefit of the doubt. But you may want to try a different tact than asking that the radio media go on a tear about shortcomings this year, and what goes on next year. That "horse" has just about died from such exposure. Maybe you haven't been reading some of the various posts. If not, start surfing and you can get a bellyfull.

Kracka, I think you make good points, are an excellent participant in the threads, refrain from making derogatory comments, and exhibit many other behaviors that reflect highly on your character. However, I do not think you stand any chance of improving the referenced fanbase image, in the manner you imply. You are a unique breed of this referenced fanbase, and if they discover you are being repectful on this site... you are going to lose the secret squirrel privaledges.

Yeah I know. I was just trying to be funny, since I think in a way J. Walker and Scott were indirectly poking fun at the UL fanbase with their "UL FOOTBALL PROGRAM". Not meaning it was just a ploy to get people off his back. He's done it with other schools, so he claims. I was just being funny cause it's like listening to the griping over on the "evil empire" message board. There is only so many things you can say one way or the other without it getting redundant. I thought the show the other day was pointless. They should have done that before the last game, maybe something fresh would have come from it. I am in no way trying to save the image of the LSUBRAM tigah fan either. That was me tugging at the perverbial leg of the UL guy. I know that's a thing that will never change. I just got to stir up ____, then be nice. Kinda like that Bi-Polar cousin that everyone whispers about at family gatherings. I got to keep people on their toes.
