Has anyone ever noticed that Jarrod the subway guy sucks at acting? You'd think that after all the money he's made from subway that he would buy some acting lessons. I hate that guy, always pickin on Mickey Dees and the BK. All I know is that subway doesn't offer a 99 cent menu.Originally Posted by CDeb
And I really rubbed it in their face in my email: "You're sandwiches may have fewer grams of fat than a big mac, but McDonald's supports the University of Louisiana. So I'd much rather spend my money at McDonald's ."
Something better to chew on for MR. LSU here is the fact that Raisin Cane's, which was actually started by two guys in LSU, actually has Ragin Cajun cups etc... and both restaurants are all in UL decor. Why may you ask? B/c those two chains are in LAFAYETTE, not in the beloved BR.Originally Posted by Sid

For the life of me, I don't know how Subway and others survive in an area where there are thousands of po-boy vendors who do a much better job. Subway bread eats like cotton.Originally Posted by CDeb
The guy who started Cane's went to University of Georgia, not LSU. He opened the first restaurant near LSU.Originally Posted by CutOff_Cajun
No, no, no, pepperfan. there were two founders at RasinCanes. One went to UGA and one went to LSU. The LSU guy bought out the UGA. RasinCanes owner is an LSU booster.Originally Posted by waterboy
Trust me, my neighbor from college is an exec there now and they are all LSU fans and most are LSU grads. They all laugh at ULL sports like the rest of us.
Like this entire thread, if cajufan would just know your place in college aths, then everything would be all right.
BTW, what do you guys think about your alum Gov lobbying for LSU at the Rose Bowl and referring to it "our university". Notice she is not lobbying the Motor City Bowl.

The RC by Cajun Field has some great photos on the walls of the UL campus through history, including McNaspy and the original quad. I wouldn't mind a few of those my own self.
Sounds a lot like the FedEx story to me. Bad grade, good business.Originally Posted by wwltv
I respect these guys, they know how to market. In Lake Charles there is location with a McNeese theme.
I would like to eat at the LSU theme stores in Red Stick.
I used to work with Sivey's wife, and she is a Tulane grad... so let's not let Tulane off the hook either. Gee, why don't Lafayette businesses give out Tulane cups... they ARE the "Harvard of the South"?Originally Posted by kracka75LSU
