So was Rich Rodriguez (asst under Scelfo and current WVU coach). I wonder if we'll see Scelfo in a WVU shirt next year on the sidelines. I am sure he will be somewhere.Originally Posted by CDeb
Does he have any ties to Rodriguez? I thought Rodriguez left when Bowden left and he didn't get the Tulane job like he thought he would.Originally Posted by rhineaux
Very true. I forgot bowden was their and that is who rodriquez worked for. regardless, a coach with that many years of experience at that school will get hired no problemOriginally Posted by CDeb
Rodriquez was not an asst. under Scelfo. He was under Bowden. And I don't think he was ever a candidate for the UL job. I do think the folks here wanted him to be, but he was looking at bigger programs and apparently felt he could get a job at one of those schools (which he, of course, did).Originally Posted by rhineaux
Yeah, i am sure he was on our list, but i don't think we were on his, if you know what i mean.Originally Posted by RaginFan2
Yep, you got it!Originally Posted by rhineaux
Okay, the details are a little fuzzy, but I'm pretty sure he interviewed for the job.Originally Posted by rhineaux
If I remember correctly he was being talked about at least for the job.Originally Posted by CDeb
He interviewed for the job, basically for leverage to get more money from Bowden as OC at Clemson, just in case Tulane would lose their freaking mind and opt NOT to hire Rodriguez...Originally Posted by CDeb
BOY did Tulane really USL that one eh?
