I like the Pens also as long as they are not playing the Wings or Blackhawks. I can't stand the Flyers. I think it has something to do with their colors and strange logo.

Why Seattle? Michigan football? Just curious. Did you live in Seattle at some point? Did you go to school in Michigan?

My question is would you rather see the Saints in the Super Bowl or the Cajuns in another bowl game?
I love the Cajuns but got to go with Saints in the Super bowl

No NBA fans? I will only follow the Hornets if they make the playoffs. I live 40 minutes from the Dome but us on the Northshore can't watch them on TV. So I feel very little connection to them.

    1 - UL
    2 - Atlanta Braves
    3 - Saints
    4 - Man City

    College sports > the pros.

Also up for mention: Formula 1, any international soccer match, rugby, and cycling.

Been a Magic fan since the day I was born (this offseason has really frustrated me). I was able to catch a game at the new Amway Center last April and it is a phenomenal place to be in.

As a child I was well on my way to becoming a Saints fan. The biggest thing was getting a quarter from my mom to buy a NFL team pencil from the Library. I got there late that morning...had my heart set on the Bobby Hebert pencil...no more Bobby Hebert pencils. Another one caught my eye...Steve Largent with the the Seahawks colors. Been a fan ever since. Michigan football I remember watching the 1991 Rose Bowl and man I really dug there helmets. When you are a kid it doesn't take much to start liking a team. I just stuck with them once I picked up on them.

What's up with Michigan's helmets? Is it suppose to resemble the top of a Wolverine?

UL players wore that style of helmet in the mid 40's

It may be based on some bigger tradition but my guess is that it was a manufacturers design and at some point Michigan made it their identity. Perhaps for the reason you suggest.

It's got wings....apparently they were the first to put vertical lines on helmets to help with the forward pass. If you saw a vertical line...the receiver isn't looking for the ball. I could be wrong.

    Edit: Here is an explanation...

Yes still a co-owner. He does the smartest thing when it comes to hockey. Draft really young North American guys that have potential to become an all-star. Don't have to draft the biggest baddest thing on the market. Crosby is a once in a decade type player though so you have to grab that. I was also a Ave's fan back in the day. I played on a roller hockey team called the Blues back in the day and when the St. Louis Blues / Colorado Avalanche played an exhibition game in the cajundome YEARS ago, we went meet them at their hotel and had all the players from both teams signing our trading cards and jerseys. Coolest experience ever to meet future hall of famers like Al Mcinnis, Peter Forsberg, Chris Pronger, Claude Lemeiux, I can go on and on.
