And this one says different. I'd jump at C-USA if the chance was given...if they get raided again they'll come after the best the belt has to offer and I hope it's us.

Massey has us last---NO doubt this will change as the results keep coming in with the Ws after Sunbelt school names!!!
ah the "final word" in sports, bleacher report also has us at the top

Agree< Now if we can all stay together, we can prove to the Nation that the Sunbelt Schools deserve better press and respect.
Congrats to Administration for going after top quality coaches, the Players committed to our schools, the Fans who support their school and not other schools cause their children went their.( Like so many UL grads kids did).
GEAUX SUNBELT CONFERENCE AND RAGIN CAJUNS.
The computer ranking for both individual teams and conferences is meaningless at this time since there is not enough information of team v team to draw conclusions. Most of these rankings begin the year with "assumptions" that might not, and in this instance are not, valid. If the assumption is not valid, the conclusions are not reliable. W can have a debate if the WAC or Sunbelt is the better right now, but even a casual observer can look at the record and know that the Sunbelt is at or very near the top of non-BCS conferences.
I would personally like to see y'all in USA w/ us & Tulane. I think it would make for great regional play.
Turbine,
I will disagree with you some on this point of view. Having two from that same state is not really that bad, and would build on rivalries; but once it gets past 2 in a state the size of Louisiana (or Mississippi) it begins to lose national appeal. That is really what led to the old Southwest Conference dying. It became too regional to appeal to fans throughout the country, and in a market driven by national viewing audiences (ESPN, Fox, ABC, etc, etc) and the almighty dollar; Houston versus Rice and SMU wasn't good enough. In smaller conferences like the Belt or CUSA, a regional appeal is good since we all operate on smaller budgets; so having closer rivals works to our advantage. Having 3 schools like Tech, Tulane and UL in a conference would definitely be pushing the limits, and would have to be offset with good matchups from Texas, Arkansas, Mississippi, for it to work. Otherwise we might as well be in the Southland with 3 or 4 other schools from Louisiana! Blastphamy I know!! And there is no way I'm advocating that. Just a long-winded way of saying 2, maybe 3 would be doable IMO. But not more!
