Thread: The Inadvertent Suspension of Hamilton Certainly Didn't Help

STILLWATER, Okla. -- Backup Brandon McCray started at noseguard Saturday in place of suspended Justin Hamilton for UL's loss at Oklahoma State.

"Not having Justin Hamilton," Cajuns coach Mark Hudspeth said, "really hurt."

Yea it did. The defensive line got manhandled. I have a feeling that wouldn't be the case if Hamilton were in there. Thank you Sun Belt refs for sucking ___!!!

Yeah, if he had been there, we would maybe have only lost by 30. Sarcasm off.

We have no idea what effect a couple of early sacks might have had on the substitute QB for the rest of the game.

Obviously he was allowed to get into a zone.

We were clearly not as good as that team. But we are also not 40 points worse. A lot of things contributed to it snowballing on us, one of the biggest may have been the fact juicy wasn't there to exploit a new starter at center. I don't think we could have beaten that team Saturday even playing our best, they were just too dialed in. But he sure could have helped make it less of an embarrassment.

I know you're being sarcastic, but he may have been a serious difference maker. You never know what impact a particular player has not only with individual play (and he's proven to be a massive beast on D), but how his presence has on the mindset of his team mates. The good news is that had we lost by a point, it still would have been a loss. Hamilton will be back... and he's going to make a statement to our next opponent (and foul language won't be necessary).
