BURLINGTON, Iowa - The Ragin' Cajuns golf team is slated to tee off at the prestigious Golfweek Conference Challenge starting Sunday morning at 10:40 a.m. in Burlington, Iowa at Spirit Hollow Golf Course.
"This is going to be a good experience for the guys," head coach Theo Sliman said. "For the second straight week we are facing a quality field. Hopefully the guys come out aggressive like we did last week."
The Cajuns are paired with Tulsa and Wake Forest to start the three-day, 54-hole tournament. San Jose State, Central Arkansas, Missouri, Florida Gulf Coast, Campbell, Jacksonville State, Iowa, Long Beach State, San Francisco, Ball State, Xavier and Kansas round out the field at the Golfweek Conference Challenege.
Action is slated start at 9 a.m. on all three days with live scoring available on golfstat.com.
UL is coming off of an eighth place finish at the Sam Hall Intercollegiate a week ago. Seniors Brandt Garon and Yohann Vora led the way for the Cajuns after carding their best career finishes.
Senior Ethan Savoy and freshmen Ross Davis and Thomas Strandemo will also tee off for the Cajuns in the event. Strandemo is making his collegiate debut this weekend.
