Did you guys (and gals) see the play of NT #65 Marshall Delesdernier last night?

I didn't (grrr Cox) but I have read a few nice things about his agressive play.

If he continues to shine like he did USC, the res of Louisiana's opponents will have a hard time making it out from inside their own 20 yardline much less making into Louisiana's 20 yard line.

Ladies and Gents meet MD 20-20 Marshall Delesdernier

The Media guide has him listed as DS 6-1 Fr. Metairie, La.

High School: Four-year letterman for coach Vic Eumont at Jesuit HS.

he was named to the PreSeason All-District and All-Metro squads.

he is the son fo Mark and Melanie Delesdernier.

Delesdernier indeed had a very good game. Other freshman or Rs-freshman that played last night:

    QB Jerry Babb
    LB Mack Fair
    RB Josh Harrison
    WS Wes Simon
    DE Tony Hills
    DB Mike Adams
    RS Jarrett Jones
    OT Brandon Cox
    DT Chris Cutler

    Sophomore's who played

    CB Terryl Fenton
    RB Chester Johnson
    K Sean Comiskey
    DS Justin Venable
    KR Jarvis Murchison

May have been more those are just the ones I remember seeing. Still a very young team

By the way, Cox is terrible, I watch the entire game on Direct TV. The weather was horrible at my house and never lost a signal.
Firstly, I think our O-Line is the least of our worrys, there were times we were blowen people off the ball. I didnt see the cajuns get this much protection in a while, and their were holes that we could have driven a school bus through at times. This is gonna be a special team. Anyway, yea, I also saw the entire game, and I do have it Recorded. Laters everyone.

I just wanted to stop by and congratulated yall on a great game and good effort. Smothers is a great RB and Babb is a good QB. The boys in Vermillion are very well coached and conditioned. I want to wish yall luck against La Tech and I'll be rooting for yall. I was impressed w/the amount of USL fans that came; usually when we play a non-BCS/OOC team, there may be a dozen or so, but it looked like several hundred. Once again, best of luck and perhaps you may slip inti the New Orleans Bowl!!! (BTW, I think it should be called the Crecent City Bowl).

    GEAUX CAJUNS!!!

I didnt mind it, it was a promise he had said he would fulfill. He had said before the game that he would give ER a series or 2, and you have to remember at this level, trusting in your coach is important. If the players had heard him saying that he was gonna give ER his chance to go in, and never did, what would keep him from saying hed do something for another one of the players and not come through on the promise. ER didnt hurt us/help us, so I believe theres no way to really hold this against him. The last thing is, it gave Babb a chance to look at the game from the sidelines and see what the defense was doing. Anyway, thats my thoughts.

Like I said on your forum, Im sold on yall. Im really a gamecock fan for sure now. While it would be easy to say that yall were having a bad night, and it was a fluke, like most BCS teams do when a team scares em, your fans gave us credit and basically said we came to play, and yall didnt. Just look at the class of these your fans, I feel proud for my school by reading your schools message board!

"Lousiana Lafayette gained the respect of our team tonight, and also our fans. So congratualtions to them, and especially their qb, wr, already mentioned, and also the rb, Smothers, I think his name was. There was a good back."

"Sorry dude but your guys were far from little. Your team was a lot bigger than I anticipated."

"I usually do this for teams that beat us but I just have to say congrats to ULL. They were not intimidated, came out and played us tough. Part of the reason I am a little shell shocked is because I thought we should have had a blowout. And the Cajuns had other ideas. Yall have a good ball club and should do well this year.
Congrats and good luck on the rest of your season."

"They are a stand up team. Sure did like when they all knelt after the game and prayed at the 50. The gamecocks then came out and joined them. Great team.....Great coach.."

"they played with a lot of heart i thought. they had a nothing to lose attitude that i respect. great game guys! i hope you get a few upsets this year, but i'm damn sure glad it did'nt come tonight!"

And this isnt what our own fans are saying, these are your fans. Like I said, reading your forum makes me more proud of my team than reading our own heh. Gluck for the rest of the year, finish 11-0 and slap someone around in fiesta bowl...Hey we can hope, better than the LSU Tiggers goin!
