The most frustrating thing to me is the almost complete lack of any semblance of a defense. We've hardly slowed them down! Of course the offense has not done anything either, aside from the one good drive engineered by Rekeita. I think he and Babb need to split time the rest of the year.

Man! 41-7 at halftime! This sounds too much like last years game at lsu. Ugh!!!! I sure hope Bustle was right, that these guys are the best team we will face this year. I don't want to see what would happen if anybody left on our schedule is better than Minnesota. I would like to see what our strength of schedule looks like after the season is over. In the preseason, it wasn't ranked very high, thanks mainly to the conference games. I think for our first 6 games the opposition has/will have been pretty tough.

Rekieta launches another drive with clutch passing.

Cajuns score, granted it is against reserve players.

Call me crazy but I think Babb is learning more watching than he learned in the first half.

    UL Football North Texas

Even though NT lost by a convincing score tonight (31-7), I checked the box score and noticed Arkansas didn't have a scoring drive longer than 47 yards. Three of the scoring "drives" were less than 30 yards. The Mean Green defense did give up over 400 yards, but just barely. While I don't think NT is as strong as the past couple of years, they will be plenty strong for us to try to get a win against.

I hope the coaches can find something positive about this game against Minnesota to prepare for NT. It sure didn't look too good on the play-by-play, especially in the first half.

    Geaux Ragin' Cajuns!

At least it was a 7-7 ballgame the second half.

    I'll take it.

This may sound off the wall but I think Bustle has been preparing for North Texas.

didnt the school do a study or have a vote on the beer issue a couple of years ago?

It seems like it but I can't recall. You know it only makes sense. Already there is:

  10. Beer around Cajun Field for every single sporting event.
  11. Beer in the Cajun Dome
  12. Beer at Tigue Moore field
  13. Beer INSIDE the Swamp for the Saints game.
  14. Beer inside the suites (or so I was told) at every game.
  15. Free beer given to those over 21 at the UPC hosted Crawfish Boils.

The first excuse I heard was no other school is doing it, and then when a couple schools were found selling beer, the reason presented was a feared liability issue.

It seems to me the liability issue exists for all of Cajun Basin, I don't see the logic for the Swamp being held up as this dry piece of real-estate in Acadiana.

Somehow “DRY” and “SWAMP” don’t go together.

Lets see Houston won, South Carolina won, LA Tech lost.

Louisiana's opponents (so far) are 12-4 on the year.

    That is a tough schedule.

    Default beer

    Excellent post Turbine.

Although, to be fair, had I been supplied with MORE beer during the game for the last 7 years, someone would have gotten hurt and arrested. Namely me.
