    Howdy Cajuns!!!

I want to repeat 24/7's sentiments on wishing yall a safe trip to Columbia for those who are going. If yall are going to tailgate, I want to smell shrimp/crafish boiling, boudin, etoufee, REAL gumbo, etc!!! The reason I say real gumbo is gumbo here in SC is red, and I prefer a dark roux gumbo. Being a native of Texas, I know a little about the fine cuisine that comes from Louisiana.

I want to say by no means am I looking past La-Lafayette (as I remember as USL growing up). I remeber what yall did to Texas A&M in 1996 and I don't want that to happen to USC either. (I grew up an A&M fan as a youngster in TX). Anyhow, best of luck, no injuries and do well in 2003!!!

There will always be room in this world for a SouthernGent. But come on, a red roux? The reciept must have been some mean trick played on a Carolina fan by some Tigger from Baton Rouge.

"Alright guys.............what are your strengths and weknesses?" I don't post often, but since I see no reply let me tell you, I don't know of any strengths. UL lost 36 players from last year. The only experienced players on offense is at pitch and catch and the experienced player at QB is coming off Tommy John elbow and is second string. The receiver can catch but we don't know if the quarterback will get him the ball.

On defnse we have experience at linebacker but they didn't play last year. You have to go back two years to find the experience that they have and that was with a different coach. So that is our strengths, I don't know if we have any weaknesses.

I just left the airport here in Columbia. Just wanted to let ya'll know your team has arrived safely.

If any of you are coming to Cola Town, I hope you have a safe trip as well.

Good luck tomorrow night. Hoping for an injury free game.

Much obliged 1st and Goal. You are truly first rate.

Seriously, you are so classy to name yourself after our offense.

Jamal Smith is out for the year. Let's hope he can take a medical redshirt and come back next year.

1ST AND GOAL.............I hope you are right about it not being a major concern. I know we have some depth but we do have a walk-on LB starting his first game and two of our best are not playing. I would say that is a little cause for concern. These guys are gonna try and run it down our throats and we better be ready to stop it. With a frosh QB, I expect to see a lot of pounding away from the back field. JMHO
