"The Media guide has him listed as DS 6-1 Fr. Metairie, La.High School: Four-year letterman for coach Vic Eumont at Jesuit HS."

Coach Eumont may have had something to do with how well he played.

This guy did very well last night. I was very impressed. On one drive in the second half, he had two sacks and a run stop for little or no gain. Did he start the game? I did not realize at the time he was a freshman. Look for good things from him!

He did not start, Shawn Williams and Daniel Taylor started at DT with Benson, Cutler and Delesdernier rotating in. Floyd, James, Hills and Bass rotated at DE. Ross, Stanley Smith, Fair and Calais (I do not remember seeing Norman but he may have played) rotated at LB. I think the coaching staff did a great job of rotating the front seven and keeping them fresh. Also saw Roberts and Jones at RS, Lamey and Simon at WS, Prater and Wendall Williams at FS. Fenton, Carter, Thomas and Spann at CB. That is at least 23 guys that saw significant playing time last night on defense. Of those 23 only 5 are seniors.

What's the status of George Benson and Haynes. How serious is Haynes injury. Also, I got that Mad Dog was 6'1" but how much does he weigh? Any other noteable new names from the game?

    Default Looked alot better

The o-line did have a good game(Don't want to jinx them for next week). One holding penalty. I talked to Brooks,Hodges,Harvey,Batiste,Cox,and Lloyd after the game and as good as I thought they did in a loss, they were all to a man not pleased at all they did not put any points on the board. Had an empty taste in their mouth. Coach Gibson has done a good job getting this group working together. The temp and humidity made me think I was in the SWAMP. Spent $30 dollars on bottled water(10). Chris Perrone's Mother had to go to First Aid at stadium to get relief, she is ok. Coach Bustle's brother in law(I think) had us a great barbeque spread. Also, there was a group of UL students that helped liven things up before and during the game, I hope they remember what good game it was. PREJUDICE RWCAJUN

RW, are those 6 the only offensive linemen who saw playing time against USC? I did not see any others in the game but thought I may have missed Chance or Perrone play.

Benson played against USC and played well (knocked down at least 1 pass). Did not see or hear anything about him being injured. Have not heard an update on Haynes but know he did not even make the trip to SC. I read on Delphi that Mad Dog weighs around 265 even though he is listed at 245, don't know what is up with that.

While we may look like and act like students, it has been 10 years since RaginDave and I was forcefully escorted out of a cheering section as a student... We will take that as a copliment though...

    here's a little treat though...

For all you who like to chat, RaginCajun77 has set up a nice chatroom at the URL below. Tried it out tonight and it works great. Will see you there for the Minnesota game (next out of town game) but some of you who have trouble with the internet feed may want to give it a try this Saturday.
