  1. UL Football Zatarain

Zatarain is a rover. I think he might have had shoulder surgery after the season. Not 100% sure on that though.

We share 3 common opponents with that school to the east

ULM travels to Baton Rouge on 8/30 and to Lafayette on 10/11

South Carolina, UL travels to Columbia on 8/30 and LSU goes there on 10/18

Louisiana Tech travels to Lafayette on 9/6 and to Baton Rouge on 11/1

Helo everyone first post here. I like this web site and have been visiting every morning bafore work for the past 3 three weeks. I like that little side note there. The Cajuns can gage improvement with that little sidenote the Swampfox dug up. I find it interesting that the teams that go to that little school to the east there, come to ULL. And both ULL and that little school to the easst both travel to USC. So now I see it is 5am and the CrewChief must go.

    Ragin' Cajuns

It will be great when the Cajuns go 3-0 in these games, while the Tiggers go 1-2, maybe 2-1.

UL Football UL Football Signing Day Reception

    From CajunFun.com
Wednesday, February 5--5:00P. Lafayette. Cajundome Convention Center, CajunDome Blvd. Coach Rickey Bustle and UL Athletics will host a reception on National Signing Day, for all High School and Junior College players who have committed to the Ragin' Cajuns. At the reception, the Athletic Department will also recognize the United Louisiana Cajuns for their volunteer efforts in painting & cleaning Cajun Field.

I hope as many of us as possible get out and show these recruits they made the right choice. I'll be there (for those who don't know me I'll be the short, balding, graying hair & goatee guy with a big smile on my face) We are headed in the right direction.

Just got back for the convention center, what a night. Over 500 people there to meet our newest Ragin' Cajuns. A very well put together event that I truly enjoyed. Coach Bustle thanked all the people for coming and especially thanked all those who helped the coaching staff with their recruiting budget (donated cars to use, travel expenses etc...) he stressed that this year we did things the way they are supposed to be done and that we MUST continue to do so. This is the start of something good and if we continue to support recruiting like we did this year things will only get better.
Cox, Chance, Cones, Fane, Blappert, Scott, Thomas and Lewis were all there. I believe we got some good (and some great) players all of which will help continue to turn our program around. I am the most pleased with the number of DL & DB recruits we have, most of which are JC transfers. Our DL & DB lacked size and depth and now we will have both. I still believe we will be able to redshirt most of our incoming 19 freshman.

This is a GREAT IDEA Very Impressed With The Turnout!!

I've been to several of these recruiting functions in the past, but WOW, tonight was different. First class with a big time crowd. And, the convention center is wonderful. We're on our way. I picked up one of the press releases on the way out. For each player the release lists the other schools that were recruiting. Some big time schools were on a lot of these guys. Schools like Clemson, West Virginia, South Carolina, Arkansas, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, LSU, Michigan State, Tennessee & Oklahoma State to name a few. Bustle is mixing it up with the big guys and hanging tough! I think we'll see a "much improved" team this year with the following year starting to really turn some heads.
