Cajun Harley-Davidson wants to laissez les bons temps rouler at its first-ever Boudin Eating Contest at noon on Sept. 22.
The event will be hosted for the first time in the “Boudin Capital of the World” — Scott — at Cajun Harley Davidson’s facility on South Frontage Road. Yes, the designation is official.
Contestants will be challenged to out eat the competition by consuming the most boudin in five minutes. Don’s Specialty Meats will provide boudin for contestants.
“What better way to celebrate our Cajun heritage than by indulging in some of the best boudin that the city of Scott has to offer,” Geoffery Hebert, general manager of Cajun Harley-Davidson, said in announcing the contest. “We want to personally challenge all locals to attend and compete in this unique day of fun.”
This event is free and open to the public, and live music will be provided all day by Janke Train. Don’s Specialty Meats will be onsite selling various food items.
