YES, highland park scotch is fantastic! I try to get a bottle of 18 year every six months or so. neat, room temperature...hmmmm

thanks guys! ill take a stab at this highland 15 this weekend. My buddy is flying in from san fran friday for his last romp before taking the plunge so this bottle sounds very "best man" of me.

Macallan aged in the port casks is awesomeness...58 bucks a bottle is a bit steep...I guess its percieved value. right??

I prefer Irish to Scotch. Bushmills is my preference with the irish.

Just received a call that the US "ambassador" for Macallan/Highland Park/Famous Grouse will be riding with me on Monday - kinda weird we're talking about all of this and I get this call about this today !!

I thought someone on here had mentioned a good bourbon that was made in Colorado, but I cannot find it anywhere. My understanding is there are several small batch distillers in Colorado. If someone remembers can you please post it. I have a friend coming in from Colorado and I would like to try it.

On another note I tried some bourbon from Michigan and I had to spit it out. I will save it for a friend who drinks their bourbon with soft drinks.

There's one called Stranahan's that gets pretty good reviews....
